MELANIE MIZE


Melanie E. Mize is a Cincinnati native licensed to practice law in Ohio.

Education

Ms. Mize graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in History in 2005. She then went on to pursue a legal education at Salmon P. Chase College of Law where she received her Juris Doctor in 2008.

Professional Experience

Ms. Mize worked briefly as a research attorney before starting a solo practice in late 2008. In May 2009, Ms. Mize became a founding partner of Beene-Skuban & Mize.

Ms. Mize is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association. She also is a member of the Norwood Young Professionals and Norwood Citizens on Patrol. Ms. Mize regularly volunteers with the Caleb Tate Fuller Foundation and other non-profit community service organizations.

JENNY BEENE-SKUBAN

Jenny Beene-Skuban is a Northern Kentucky native and is pleased to now be serving her area in the legal capacity.

Education

Ms. Beene-Skuban attended Highlands High School in Fort Thomas, KY, graduating with honors in 1997. In 2001 she received her bachelor’s degree in political science at Yale University in New Haven, CT.

After working in the business sector for several years, she decided to pursue her interest in law and public service by attending Chase College of Law and simultaneously completing a Masters in Public Administration at Northern Kentucky University, both in Highland Heights, KY. She completed her JD and MPA in 2008, and was admitted to the Kentucky bar in 2009.

Professional Experience

Prior to attending law school, Ms. Beene-Skuban worked in new business development for Kendle International, a global clinical research organization. During her legal education she interned at a local law firm as well as for Federal District Judge William Bertelsmann. After law school she was employed by LexisNexis, a legal research database company. In May 2009 she became a founding partner of Beene-Skuban & Mize.
